Gang image problem

Right, so I made an emblem (with Photoshop) for our gang called Jelly Rangers and I did everything right on how to get it on me. The thing is I had it set to a PNG file so it will preserve the transparency on the background (no background colour). When I join and look at my right arm or on a car, there is a white background behind it and it really looks bad and messes up everything. How can I fix it?

@Cutter, you had this same issue with ours didn't you? How did you sort it...

He doesn't check the forums much but I spoke to him directly. Unfortunately he had the same issue, and just re-did the image and suddenly it worked.
As far as he can remember, he has no idea what he did to fix it, as he swears he didn't do anything differently from the first attempt.
