Hey guys, wasn’t sure if I was supposed to put this in here but it’s QnA so I guess it’s here but anyway

I have bought a gaming PC and wanted to test it out, as I start it, I hear three clicks (imagine you tapping a razor blade on glass gently) kind of clicks. And then the whole mother board just, WENT BOOM, some shards flew off around my room the mother board turned black when it was a green type color, my wall and hand were black too.
I searched on Google if there was a issue I did but for some reason that no one could really figure out what the problem was and I couldn’t find any answers I did ask someone from the community named Brandon pigeon and I did forget the what his answer was if you could answer this that be really good.

my power supply is a 1200W and the motherboard needs 850W, I decided to rebuy EVERYTHING so if someone could assist me in building it that would be awesome

didn t they give you your money back at least? you could fucking sue em lmao. the motherboard was faulty it has nothing to do with the power supply. if it was too much or too little wattage going through the pc, then it wouldve just shut down. (unless its a laptop but you say it isnt) under no circumstance should it explode.

i used to hear clicking when my power supply cable wasnt plugged in properly and i left it like that for a couple of weeks (my pc kept shutting down) and at some point i unplugged it and found it toasted but still no explosion

if it was wired wrong it may cause this, however it would require some serious fuck up with the psu and the motherboard I believe

It could have been due to a power surge or something like that?

I’ve contacted them explaining about what happened, they will come tomorrow and check It out, they said to leave it unplugged and not to touch it. I’ve asked a friend who is a building himself to tag along, my theory is that the power supply was fucked in some way and when I plugged it in, it delivered more than expected and shorted.

power surge is highly unlikely if you bought your psu in europe it should be certified and tested to withstand and protect the parts from the surge.

oh nevermind forgot your are from kuwait

My knowledge on this is null but after knowing you for a year. You had this coming to you ❤️🤣

FUCK YOU MAN 😂😂

@Sirdaanslot isn’t true, all the pieces are like asus and Alienware. So all high quality.

UPDATE: They checked it out and said it was a error on their part and something on the motherboard was shorted to a shit. They will do a 100% refund of everything. On the same day they came they took everything and bought everything back within the same hour

in what way do you need help building a new one?

what do you need help with exactly though xD
