On every side of the fence, there seems to be a lot of people that don't want to "take the L" when it comes to situations.
Here's a tip, it's not losing if you don't get exactly what you want but you still get something. It's called compromise and will likely reduce the overall sodium level of the server.
Not every firefight has to end with the other side getting railed. You don't have to stop RP'ing just because there's a gunfight, shout that last bastard down and get them to drop their weapon. You don't even have to take them hostage/arrest them, just tell them to drop their weapon and GTFO.
If you're that last person, don't be a TDM tit and try and rambo it, if you're surrounded, take what you're given to get out of there. There are very few people in this world who would legitimately fight to their dying breath when faced with overwhelming numbers unless it was a wartime situation.
Not every negotiation has to end with giving the least amount of money or getting the most amount of money. It also doesn't have to end up in a firefight. Cops don't need the instant gratification of getting the baddies as soon as the officer is returned. Gather intel, pass it on, form an intop etc. then hit hard, there's covert ways to keep eyes on whilst you get sorted out for the op.
