FPS Bug

This is happening to me more and more and it is really starting to annoy me and also ruins RP when it happens mid RP.

Is there a known way to reduce how often this happens? FPS drops to like 3, then completely freezes seconds later.

This is a known Arma 3 issue, as far as I know there is no knowledge on why this issue is caused.

The graphics bug you can probably fix by verifying game cache integrity. In regards with the huge FPS drops, quite a few people are experiencing that recently and there is no known fix for it yet from what i am aware of.

This is a known arma bug. Normally it's caused by looking around walls to objects outside. Or from under a desk or something. when arma thinks it hasn't got to load anything in.

I did read about a known 4FPS bug today on the Arma 3 feedback tracker.... I haven't experienced this 4FPS bug yet but its out there!

I recommend your PC's take there daily vitamins

The PC is healthy and treated well. Giving it a good old spring clean soon too :O

But I get this 4fps bug every restart and usually in the middle of something and it looks bad on me xD

From what I've heard it is a memory leak, no fix as of yet but let's hope Bohemia fix it!

i get this once or twice a day , its a real pain in the ass and the only way to stop it is to restart arma which ifyour in the middle of a rp session its quite annoying. Strangely it only happens on arma no other game so if anyone finds a fix please chuck it my way

Try the client Wilco posted in the reply above, he gave me one before that fixed an issue. I've not tested this one yet, will be doing at 8.

At short term fix for this bug that sometimes works is when you are in game press *Shift* *-* they type "flush". This some how if you are lucky can fix you game so you do not need fully restart arma

The issue is bieng addressed. As far as i know they will continue development with Memory allocators to find the leaks and they have also started preps for 64bit Client so that will be interesting. We will be able to use our ram sticks and not only have them for fun

I have not experienced the bug you have shown but I did experience the 4 FPS issue. It is really annoying I understand however I may have a temporary solution for it that I have been testing and seems to be perfectly working with me.

I noticed almost all my arma 3 issues happen when I have been playing the game after using my computer for a while. So since my computer starts up within 15 seconds i am using this to my advantage by restarting it every time before i play. This resets my whole memory system letting the game using the memory freely since not many other processes are using the memory as well. This really helps because programs when using memory loves to uses the consecutive slots. 

So if google chrome for example started suing slots 0 1 2 3, then Skype if it starts after will use 4 5 6 7 8 9. Now lets say google chrome stopped using 2 and 3 when arma starts it will start using 2 and 3 because they are free and then it will have to move over to 10 11 12 etc. But when I start my computer everything else starts before i launch arma so arma starts using the slots 10 11 12 and so on freely without having to skip slots.

I hope i am right still my first semester studying computer science.
