So my friend and I like playing an old fifa, but we were wondering, does anyone know if theres a way of playing through a career or league mode in fifa 16 or 17 where you can have a friend play with you on your team from online?

We dont want to play coop against other players because we are not that good and just want to play say a world cup tournament on the same team. does anyone know or can test if this is possible before we splash the cash on the game?
