So my girlfriend always asks me questions about ALUK as she see's me play sometimes. She brought up a good point by asking me, if she started would she need to RP as a guy, as there are no female characters.

Why are there no female characters and do you think we should have them? I personally think it would be good as it could potentially create more RP situations for people.

Opinions?

I'm fairly certain this is an Arma thing and not something we can add ourselves without mods (which, as I understand it, isn't an option at the moment). But yeah, if Arma ever decided to do it it would be a nice addition.

I thought you could change the gender of your character when you are creating your profile? Maybe i am wrong about this tho.

I didn't think of it being a mod to be honest. 

I think Arma should add female characters to be honest.

 
Adding female skins means they have to completely remodel all the clothes and head gear, plus the height difference means more problems when holding guns and such, I think it's a lot more work than people think, would love to see this though, hopefully they can add a basic model for Tanoa.

There was a massive vote on the arma feedback tracker asking for this before it was taken down (potential hack/data breach)

I cannot see them adding it, but then again who knows what they are working on with Tanoa..... With the Female mods... well the hair is god awful!

Regarding Tanoa, when is the official release and will you be releasing a Tanoa server? :O

 
June (estimated) Yes if its good for Roleplay... No if its not... but we will see soon as its added to the dev branch (start playing around with maps etc)

Let's hope it is good for RP then. It does look like a decent map from what I have seen so far.

But @Banana Duckyou would love the female skins just to make more 'Your mom' jokes like you always do. Top bants. Like, you would see a woman doing weed and she would go "Oh hi" and you would say "what ya doing?" she would say "Weed", i'm enjoying it" and then you would say "your mom enjoyed it on a Friday when we went together...."

However, as far as I've read and seen about Tanoa it seems to be more or less like Stratis, a lot of water, big mines, few actual towns and then a bunch of ghetto places and dirtroads. And Bohemia don't really aim for making roleplay maps..

The lack of female skins/models is a small but still significant enough part to cause hesitation in trying this game out :)

Will the civilian vehicles added in Tanoa DLC, be added to our Altis life? It includes things like small civilian aircrafts and fishing boats. If so, would wish it to be possible to store clams in the fishing boat, as you would get a lot of them. Thank you for answers!

 
I should imagine so.... thats what I am most interested in... hopefully they do a Bus.... Wilcoline buses will be my company.
