Somone Link me a Cheap ass PC That can Run this game Please note I would like playable FPS xD Btw I'm on apprentice wage so go Easy on me K XD

This game is a bitch to run...you really need a decent PC if you're gonna get any enjoyment out of it. If you don't mind me asking how much is a "cheap ass PC" to you?

Hello Board, I'm Nail.

Jokes aside, this game is a CPU intensive monster. You're looking at something like an I7-2700k, 4790k or 6700k, plus all that goes with those CPUs to play it with playable FPS, and sometimes even then it'll still run like a bag of hammers. But yeah, you need to put up a budget, or look at some of the other computers here in the Showcase to get you an idea of what people spend on playable FPS. Assuming you needed all components and peripherals, i'd say you're talking at least £500, probably a bit more.

I cant think of anything to do either :( hence I hang out on the board cause im bored. ;) :)

Anything under 1k is a cheap ass pc

you can build a decent rig for £800 be prepares to skimp on pretty items though, I am happy to spec one up for you, although not until you have the money. so many times I build a system for somebody they dont have the cash then when they do it needs to be fully respecced. :/

pop a thread on the tech board when you have a exact price you can go out and spend.

I will create a decent guide soon. I've created a decent Arma III system for 450 euros for @Archie

£1k Build, Good CPU, Good Memory, Good sized SSD Hybrid Drive, Even water cooled your CPU for ya all for 1k :), Windows 10 Home 64-bit, Decent GFX Card, for arma 3 no problem ...

Hope this helps!

Also a P.S ... I've seen this exactly machine build run the PC Games  Witcher 3 at medium settings on 1080p resolution producing a steady 50-60 FPS

So this system build is more than able to run arma 3 with decent results, the CPU alone is great for arma. 16GB ram is good for all game playing.

My PC ^ Full with links where to buy, it was about £400/£500 and runs arma fine, with a good FPS, So you can save your money for something else :D

(Note) No CD-ROM, So installing Windows is a bit of an arse but I used another PC and just wired it up temporarily but you can buy one for around £10 might save you some time. Also got Windows 7 Professional which I got off ebay new which worked fine and now is upgraded to Windows 10.

Monitor: Asus 27inch https://www.scan.co.uk/products/27-asus-ve278h-monitor-tn-panel-1920x1080-2ms-300cd-m-speakers-hdmi-black

My PC cost about £600and i get pretty decent frames on arma 3 altis life :D

Specs

PC specialist bog standard case :p

Palit GTX 960

I5-4460 3.20GHz

8GB RAM

(I did have a 1TB SSHD but it completely stopped working so i bought a cheap 140GB HDD)

Windows 10 64 bit

All bought from PC specialist with a 1 yeart warrenty! :)

Personally, I'd recommend spending an extra few bucks on a case that's actually good. It's one of the few things that can last you a very long time (assuming you build your own PCs)

Both of those are redicilously overpriced. (And dont buy AMD)

Whatever you do, dont buy a PC that is allready built. Build it yourself, it is much easier than people think. And also much cheaper.

EDIT: Just put together a pc that should work pretty fucking well for arma 3. Around 500£. This is norwegian prices, so it will probably be a bit cheaper if youre not norwegian.

Just keep your current case, slap this shit into the case, maybe buy a 650w powersupply if what you have is a 500w. The GPU(graphics card) Is a big money saver. It is cheap, but should perform almost as well as a gtx 960. Either way, you can just upgrade your GPU when the GPU is too old;)

Ok cheers for the advise but I was mainly asking if the components would run arma and if so how well haha and I'm British if that's any consolation

Well I was on an apprentice wage not too long ago so know how it feels lol but during my time I managed to build myself a nice little rig. I have:

AMD FX-4350 @ 4.2GHz

Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 960 2GB

8GB 1866MHz HyperX Fury RAM DDR3

120GB Kingston SSD

1TB WD Blue 7200rpm

All this slapped on a cheap mobo and an NZXT S340 (which is a brilliant case and fully recommend) and it runs ARMA 3 pretty well. Most servers I get around 45-60ish FPS, AltisLife a little less due to the vast numbers of people on all the time but yeah this costs maybe £500 to build at most and you can save by just skipping the SSD and getting a cheap case or reusing one.
