Exile - How do i raid bases

Me and my friends have been playing for some while now and have found out that the thermal scanner pro doesn't work and i tried explosives on a non reinforced structure and that did not have any effect. So the question is how can i raid ?

Scanner only works if the code has been used within the last 15 mins. Satchels take down walls. Think its about 5-10 satchels per wall
