If any of my fellow Life players, either play or looking to play Elite Dangerous I'd be more than happy to answer questions in relation to this game, as a Day 1 release player I have the experience,

What do you do to keep yourself interested in the game?

I've got a vulture, a clipper and a few other smaller ships, but frankly, the lack of end game content made me weary of the game quite quickly.
Bounty Hunting / Trading / Normal missions are all boring for me now.

Personally this game for me is going to be one of those ones that you play for years and years, only due to the fact the in reality this game is still really really REALLY young, mainly because they have a 10 year plan, but atm im exploring, with Horizons you can land on non-atmospheric planets, as well as they going to bring out multi-crew (4 people in one ship), launching small ships from bigger ships (anaconda carrying sidewinders) but for fun I go and RP with other CMDR's, trading slaves into a harsher life of slavery, grinding fed/empire rank with friends.

It can get boring, I would fully agree with you on that one, but again this game is very young, it has a 10 year plan, meaning that everything that "Star Citizen" have will be in the game, plus Star Citizen is a scam, 100m USD+ public backing and they've only got "Demos" that can be play'ed? at this timescale? sounds like a scam to me, but yer dont just give up on elite right away, its a beauitful game that is being slowly nurtured into a EPIC game.

Are there any designated systems that are heavily player populated that you know of? Random encounters with other players are generally few and far between.

Around the starting areas: LHS 3447 and around that area, always find people there, or doing CG's (community goals) they can change things in the game, they are also a really good place to meet people, another REALLY good place of Elite dangerous info in on the Elite Dangerous Reddit "https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDangerous/"
