Don't ever hit me

I have been present during an incident which occured, where a member of PLF roleplayed for 10 minutes with a guy then said 'Let me knock some sense into you' knocked him to the ground. The PLF member was then shot by the gang mates of the guy he knocked down, with no warning. @Fuel(and some other support team I believe) said that this was okay since knocking down is both an initiation, and a threat to life. So yes, Lincoln should have said something more than what he did, but going from previous events because there's not just that one. He was allowed to do what he did according to the rules.

I'm sorry i really have to ask this.....

WHAT THE FUCK IS INITIATION!

Jebus, this is getting silly "initiate this, initiate that", what are you, the scottish army? fml sort it out.

Do we actually have to stand there and say;

"I'm going to hit you now"

*knockout*

"I'm now going to take your dosh..... that's money....."

*robs*

"I'm now going to aim my weapon at you and pull the trigger, please stand still"

*kills*

Oh thank god we did all that initiation!

The only people on this server that should ever use the word "initiate" are the police..... or maybe UNMC if/when they return.

Yeah, you need to make a threat, or whatever, but there's a difference to being knocked out with zero RP, and being told to stop running and then being knocked out.

The sad reality is, 80% of the people on this server play around the rules and not the roleplay. But that's because of the community who is so report happy, and so salty about everything and because we don't want to get banned. If you don't follow the exact letter of the rules, you will get reported. Even if you had great roleplay along the way, that's not good enough and it's been stated so many times 'You can't roleplay breaking the rules.' which is true. But then I had an incident the other day where we were at the cocaine processor, there was around 6/7 PLF members surrounding it. We sent in a guy to negotiate with gang who was doing a large run of coke, we told them we wanted two trucks as tax otherwise there'd be consequences. Another 5/10 minutes of roleplay went past, and they said 'Negotiations are off' and started to try and get in their trucks. So we started to shoot at them, but of course they felt that was RDM since there was no 'Threat of life' or 'proper initiation'. When from a roleplay perspective, we said we'd take it by force ten minutes ago, and they had also called of negotiations what did you expect to happen? Who's in the right there, the ones who are going off a roleplay perspective or the ones who have the letter of the rules on their side?  But the way you talk about initiation is like you haven't been an admin for so long. Because I could find more reports than I could count, all because people haven't properly initiated, the very thing you're mocking.

The situation you have referred to is probably the one Nimmern mentioned too me, but provided no video, which I did say I would need to be sure, but was not the same, those guys was just leaving after knocking him down, where in the situation you referred to me in, was different.

I said I would need to see a video that was never presented so I could only go off what Nimmern was asking me, which he did say the guy was trying to leave and threatened him, doing all the normal stuff don't get in your truck etc, then knocked him out, which resulted in Nimmern dieing, so in my opinion on just what he told me he was well within his rights to shoot Nimmern, but this is different they guys was driving off, he was free, their was no threat etc, but every situation always comes down to someone's opinions, based on previous situations etc.

Personally my thoughts on this situation as he posed no threat, it was not RDM as their was nothing "Random" about it, but I would put it down to Poor RP, as he had no reason to kill them.

Long story short, don't post frag videos - people will pile onto you like nobodies business :3

P.S you're a goose, that's some poo RP

Tbh, what is wrong here ? -.-

U keep nagging them, they knock you out, after you keep running away.
After they knocked you out, they are a threat to you, and they initiated with knocking you out. (correct me if im wrong, but if you get knocked out, isnt that initiation? Towards the person being knocked out. If he have friends around that want to shoot, another initiation must be done?)

So what is wrong here ?? Im confused
They where a threat when they where aiming guns at him?

Where they a threat when they decided not to kill him and drove off?

The previous part of that video is not included where that group tried to rob me right after restart just outside ARAC.

Preach it Swagre

The problem here is that there was not really any direct threat to his life. There was a threat however that threat was leaving the situation and to kill them as they're driving off without making it known that he is going to shoot/have intentions to harm them.

Does this look like high quality roleplay? They threatened him but not directly. Yea they knocked him out but if someone knocks me out I won't stand up and shoot them straight up just because it's 'initation'.

Whats shown in that video happens a lot on the island and it shouldn't; not just the shooting but the pointless act of knocking him down.
Hallelujah
