So I know no one can speak for everyone,

But how does the community feel about RP scenarios that deal with topics like domestic abuse?

I have in the past participated in funny RP situations with police respondents to "house calls" of domestic disputes.

I do not want to offend anyone with this RP, so some feedback on whether or not people think this would be alright would be nice.

Thanks :]

(3.6) Roleplaying of questionable subjects like real life terrorism or questionable subjects like rape will not be tolerated if requested by someone involved to stop.

It's allowed - but so long as everyone is comfortable with it.

Yea I know it's allowed, just thought I'd ask for input first on what other people think about it :x

If i was involved in it - i wouldnt have a problem personally since i've not had first hand RL experience of domestic abuse, though if i did and felt uncomfortable i'd just write ooc could we cool it off.
I mean you're asking bit of a broad swathe of people, better to just ask whoever you're with in a // or something if they're happy for something 'questionable' to go ahead, then if they're not into it just back off.

One of those 'your mileage may vary' questions. Some will, some wont.

I think just doing a // asking if they are comfortable doing it will be fine. If they say 'That's fine', then you can do it but if they say 'Pls no' then you can RP something else like there was a Willie Wonka ticket in the street and you got trampled on to get it would be fine. As long as you ask for permission etc then it's cool beans.

Obviously, RPing a Terrorist Attack or certain people / other things is not acceptable.

Hey thanks,

I fully plan on the scenario  to be with a party who will thoroughly enjoy it :p

But I think you're right, I'll contact the pd ahead of time to only have officers respond who are comfortable with it.

It's not going to be a dark rp at all.. It's mostly just meant to have a laugh.

Thanks again :)

Yup, absolutely fine as long as you have both consented. Obviously I would advising telling a staff team member as well so if you're spotted you don't just get banned on the spot.

Hit the nail on the head.

So long as the offended person states they DO NOT want to continue that style of roleplay in character (and out of really needed) it is acceptable.
