Does anyone know what will have to happen when you eat a piece of plastic (candy plastic)?

Hey,

So.. I ate a (napoleon) and i felt something like plastic when eating it going through my throat, I'm not sure if it was or not, I checked the plastic paper thingy that's around it, there's a hole in it which makes me afraid that i actually did eat a little piece of it somehow, is there anything that has to happen when you eat a piece of plastic (that's around the napoleon candy)?

Got told you'll have to go to the hospital to get it removed from your stomach ;s//

 
Ummmmmmm I think a health forums somewhere would be better, have you googled it?

It might just come out in a few days when you have a shit

But uh, yeah, a gaming forum probably isn't the best place to ask for medical advice, however I seriously doubt you'll need to have it taken out surgically, just wait for a bowel movement and hope that lego comes out  :Cool:

No worries :) If it is just a tiny piece you will just .. well yeah .. shit it out. Anything your body can't "process" will just be going out and if it's just tiny you don't have to worry of it being a hurtful toilet adventure :D  

 
Basically if it's wrapping food it shouldn't be toxic, and as Steph said if it's a small amount you probably won't even notice it when it passes.

 
The plastic wrap might clog up your Pyloric Sphincter or the Cardiac Sphincter, which will result in that the stomach cant take in and/or throw out food/water. This will end up in a slow and painfull death, and this is not possible to fix, as the doctors would eighter have to cut open your Esophagus or the Duodenum, thus disabling your stomach for a while till its repaired by itself (which takes weeks, and then you are as good as dead). Trust me, if you look on the left side on my tags, I'm a Wall Mart trained medic, I know this.

But seriously, all kidding aside, you should be all fine. Its just plastic. I do believe you have digested worse things than that. People actually swallow metal and shit it out. Youre safe mate.

But yeh, if it's a small amount, your body can't digest it so it should pass through your system.
