Do you stop at the crossing?

This hasn't happened to me before and hopefully it won't but there is a crossing in Kavala Square. And if I was to stand at one side or the other and there was no traffic going past it, and I was to cross it and someone was to run me over then that is VDM, right? But I was just wondering, if I was at the crossing, is it actually used as a crossing? Do cars HAVE to stop to let you go like in the real world? I use a crossing a lot in the real world and they have to stop, but I am sure they have to stop when someone is standing there. I have had to respond to a lot of emergencies past Kav Crossing and I have just had people running across roads trying to look like VDM. I try and brake and use my horn to signal that they are doing something wrong but maybe there can be an exception when there are NHS / Police with sirens on going past. But the question here is: Do you stop at the crossing?

Thanks, PAR . Fergus

If someone deliberately aims at someone crossing the road to run them over, VDM.
If someone accidentally runs someone over because they can't stop or move out of the way in time, not VDM.

There are no server rules for road crossings, cars do not have to stop for you.

Same with a car on car... If someone purposely swerves in to you when you are driving and doesn't stop to apologies, it can go down as VDM.

However, if a car accidentally hits you e.g pulls out of somewhere and smashes in to you without knowing you're there, but pulls over to say sorry then it is a casual road traffic incident, just a crash.
