Do the police acctually respond to the phone messages?

PC Hobbs, Yes we do but a lot of the time the position is withheld so we can't actually do anything about it, when you or any other member sends a message to the police make sure we can tell where you are! If possible tell us your position in the text so we do not have to waste time working out the co-ords! You have to understand that we have a lot to do aswell as responding to texts. 
Maybe there could be a new section of the police force that respond to crimes reported by text? Just an idea! I hope this helps!

We definitely do, but please keep in mind that Police is sometimes busy elsewhere, there might be an operation going on for instance. Sometimes we would like to respond, but aren't able to, but that doesn't mean you shouldent inform us. Please keep doing as you do.
Also we get a lot of 999 messages that don't give us much information, just in general: please include location, description of criminals, what they were doing, what cars they have. Do they have guns and if so what kind of guns?
