I have been trying to think of a way to breathe some more life into the casino of late.
This might be one idea. Currently the slot machines are almost useless. Nobody plays them. Obviously we know that slot machines of old are mechanical but with everything changing to digital these days i started to wonder if slot machines could be "hacked". If theyre computerised now (like everything else) then there may be USB slots in them perhaps. I admit you have to suspend your belief in this for a second or two, but what if there was a place to get some software from on an existing USB and perhaps take this into the casino and "use" it on the slot machines to get extra chips out of them. You could then use these chips as normal in the casino and get clean cash out of it. Obviously there needs to be some sort of risk to this, so perhaps the "casino staff" would alert the police if they found an anomaly in the system and this would cause the police to be notified (just as they are with other notifications of crimes in progress) and they could come to the casino and search for anyone who might be carrying a USB stick. They would potentially have to raid the whole casino for a brief period and detain everyone inside but it could be really good RP for all involved.
does it imbalance the server: no not really, it should be good fun for all involved hopefully and the pay out would not need to be any larger than current crimes that people can do.
