Custom SLI Bridge

So, at the end of this month, I'm getting some extra money (Sold some csgo skins :D) and will be getting another graphics card.  Does anyone know where I can get a custom one done?  I was looking at this a while ago and the company I was looking at has closed since then.

I'm looking at getting this bridge http://gaming.msi.com/products/graphics-card/sli-bridge but the red led is putting me off.

Anyone know of any places I can get this done?

Thanks,
Owen

All it really is, is the standard SLI circuit board with a fancy cover/LEDs. Anywhere that can design and fabricate you a cover to 'clip on' over the standard 2way bridge, or build you the PCB from scratch would do it. I imagine it would be more expensive than just buying one.

EDIT: You can also turn the LED off from GeForce experience or the MSI app, according to MSI site.

Also it's not a red LED, it's red metal. and the dragon logo glows, most likely white as it does on the cards.

I'm guessing you have MSI cards and obviously want the MSI bridge to match, but you can always use one from a different manufacturer. In addition to the plain ribbon/PCB that comes bundled with most cards, nVidia do plain ones such as this

Or EVGA orffered this:

Just make sure it's the right slot gap distance etc.

Thanks for this, I was aware that this is just the fancy cover, but I would like it to match the colour scheme.  I've got the MSI 980ti Golden edition.  So, would like the bridge to match otherwise it may ruin the build.

If it is a white led, I could live with that, as I may be able to paint the actual cover to match the build.

I don't personally like the plain ribbon cables, as personally I think they look a bit tacky.

Think I gotta do a bit more research into this.

Cheers

From the few pics on the site, it looks like the red cover is just held on with a few small allen key bolts, it probably wouldnt take much to dismantle it carefully, then you could always try to spray the red cover with some golden paint or whatever you're going for.

The LED is probably a Surface-Mounted Diode so it'd be more difficult to desolder and you risk killing the bridge. But a yellow post-it square over the LED if it is white will make it yellow/gold. Same process people use to change dashboard lights without resoldering all the LEDs.

Yea, I've had a look, it looks easy enough to dismantle and paint, if it's a white LED I don't think I would mind that, because as you said, the graphics card has that led already and I quite like it.

I didn't however know about the Post it note trick! I might have to give that a go at some point :)

I'll probably head down to B&Q at some point before hand to see if they can match the exact colour for me.

I want that in my car now aswell :D

Halfords mix aerosol paint for you as well in pearl, metallic effect etc. Subaru Impreza's come with Gold wheels, so it's a paint they should be able to mix for you easily.

That does look nice, I'm not sure about the colour though (proper gold). For some reason, even though it's called the 'Golden Edition' it isn't really a gold, it's more of a bronze/copper, but thanks for the suggestion, I might take a wonder down to halfords just to take a look and see if they have any samples.

Thanks for all the help on this :)

So.. Many.. Colours!

I'm definitely going to have to take a trip to one of the mentioned shops, see in person what each colour is actually like.   Starting to regret going for an orange/black build now xD
