I would just like to point out, but i think CSO Rank police should be allowed tazers as they were used to. I know its a learning stage for them to watch us other cops and learn the ropes of the police but, if something happens to us there just standing there doing nothing. I hate to say it but there useless without a weapon. Yes there allowed to drive, pull people over, roleplay etc... but i just think them having one also gives them responablitlys. Even if like the person taking CSO out on patrol could decide wether to give them one. Just my opinoin, No hate to the CSO we all have to start somewhere however im doing this on there behalf.

Could i know the reason we took tazors away from them ? if so is there any possibleitys of them being allowed to use them again :)

@Junior Please move to the suggestion section :)

The risk with giving CSO's tasers is that they're not always experienced in ARMA in general. Sometimes they don't even know basic controls etc, so it's sometimes safer to restrict newer people in areas with the most risk.

None the less it's always annoying to not be able to do much, however in the old days we had plenty of falcon punching CSO's!

I believe they were removed due to the fact some CSO's would taze unnecessarily. I personally believe that they should not have tazers just because they are there to observe and learn. They put what they've learnt when it comes to their PSCO test.

CSO's are here to observe and learn whats going on, not here too back up your gun fight there still in there learning stages and 'like it used to' was a very small time. CSO have went without weapons for a long time it was only a small amount of time they have been able to use them.

Yes i completly understand that, however i have been on patrol with some CSO and they seem fine, i know they may not have the experiance but the only person there going to listen to is there commander (person on patrol with them) so maybe us on patrol with them would be able to hand them a tazor if we think there able enough ?

I think this has to be brought up to the police command instead of the suggestion section! I'm pretty sure the CSI's have the power to implement tasers for CSO's if they agree with it!

as a CSO i can see everyones point its good to have a tazer to help and to feel like u can do somthing but at the same time most rebels with just tell us to go away the dont see the point in killing a CSO and a better point your only a CSO for 2 days if u pass your FTT

If rebels kill all officers minus a CSO, if the CSO had a taser he would be shot aswell...

Oh, are CSO's not even allowed tazers anymore?

Imo, they should be allowed them so that they can be of somewhat use.. I never encountered any problems with having CSO's running around with tazers when I was in the police. Ohwell

I think it is more out of concern for when rebels come around. Most rebels just want the CSO's to leave as they know they can't take them hostage and they carry nothing particularly valuable. If CSO's have a taser, some of them think it is a license to take down everyone rather than valuing their life, and that is a pretty important part of being a cop; knowing when to surrender and when to fight.

As it has been said, CSO's are here to observe.

I personally think that it is better for them not to have tasers.

Every rebel that I have encountered had let the CSO go off and this is because they usually understand that they really cannot do anything about the situation more than call backup.

So it is a no from me to this.

cso,s without tazers can be quite deadly as this plf member found out much to our amazement
