Creating addons in Arma 3

[Bad Rats]

Hey I was hoping to create a couple of addons for Arma but I cant seem to be able to find a decent bit of information on how to actually create addons. Anyone have any good guides or tutorials?

My plan was to model a gas mask in blender and try make it a wearable item.
