CPU Usage Issue

Hey Guys,

I'm having an issue with my computer constantly at 30% CPU usage. In task manager it states the issue is a service process "svchost.exe" 

I've tried scanning my computer for viruses and restarting and all that good stuff but nothing is fixing it. (I also don't do Windows Updates so I don't think it's from a bad update)

I run Windows 8.1

I'm not exactly great with computer stuff so if anyone has the time to try to help me I would really appreciate it.

Question N.o. 1,Why on Earth would you be using Windows 8.1 instead of Windows 10.

Back to the topic,how long has this been happening for?

svhost is a system process that is responsible for running most important system services.What you might want to do is go into the Processes tab on the Task Menager.Look at all them svhost processes and right click the one that uses the most of your CPU.Then press go to services button and disable the service it's highlighted.Could help,if it didn't you might want to scan your PC with a new AV and if that fails reinstall you system alltogether cause it is very likely you've got it pretty virused.

Go to task manager- services- open services- look for super fetch- disable that service- restart computer.. this should work and worked many many times for me. Route might be incorrect as I'm not on my PC of right now, but basically go to services and disable superfetch! Let me know if it helped @Julie Cel

30 percent is pretty normal for computers with 8gm ram, playing arma 3 you should see an increase from 30 to 80 usage,  I honestly would not worry the past 3 pcs I have all stayed at 30 percent , with 16 gb ram you should see 20 to 25
