CPU Liquid cooler chances of a leak?

MACCAS

Lost MC
What is the chances because i currently run the hyper 212 on my i5 4690k and Idles at 31C and on load its at 40 45C is it worth getting say the H100i or any good other good ones? Im really scared of having liquid running through my current rig

Unless you want to start doing some extreme OC'ing to your cpu then stick to air cooling

Plus as long as you install your water cooling properly the chances of a leak are extremely rare

If you're buying a closed loop like the h100i then you're very very very very very

very very very very very

very

Unlikely to get a leak, I've used a corsair closed loop cooler for 7 months I've had it in and out of my system multiple times and not got a leak, as long as you don't tighten up the radiator which is really the only risk of leakage you'll be fine, with my cooler I idle at 18-28 and on full load never go over 50.

Used a watercooling loop for around 4-5 years now, as long as you install it correctly you should have no issues with it. They are designed to have watertight connectors due to the fact they will be inside your PC.

You're not even hitting 50C on air under load which is really good, so unless you plan on heavily overclocking, I would stick to what you have.

*Oh, and as far as a leak, extremely rare. Over the many years of using AIO water coolers, i've never had a single problem.
