Howdy folks,

This question isn't directed at only Denmarkarians... So if you know something good, let me know.

My wife and I are heading to Copenhagen for 3 days, her Cousin and her husband are visiting us from Taiwan and we've planned a small trip.
I wanted to know if anyone lives in / has been to Copenhagen and knows some awesome places to go / things to do.

Let me know if you know anything good.

Cheers,
Ash / Mycaelis

I live there, there's alot of cool things you can do in center town, like to the theater (Not movies) the amusement park of Tivoli

and the massive amounts of bikes everywhere.

There's also alot of differnt food places in Copenhagen so if you like alot of different food from alot of cultures you will deffo find it there

No idea :p

I either ride where I need to go or walk there

A visitor! First time for everything I guess

I highly recommend a visit to "Christiania". It's a small part of town which has somewhat refused our modern times. People are really friendly around there. Most of their houses they built themselves - there's also a whole lot of beautiful nature around there. One word of advice, though: Stay off the "main" street, it's slightly filled with.. eh.. drug dealers (and whatever they tell you, it is NOT legal).

I'd also recommend a walk (or bike ride!) around the lakes of central Copenhagen. If you're interested in old stuff, check out Christianshavn - there's a lake flowing through there with a lot of really beautiful old boats, and a lot of great (but expensive!) restaurants.

If you really like buildings, check out the central train station, opera house or the Tietgen dormitory.

With restaurants I must admit I come up short handed, as when I lived there I leeched of Dominos, although I must recommend a small restaurant called "Chilli". They allow you to pick out your very own burger, meat, bun, sides and so on - then they cook it for you, and you can put it together yourself. It tastes absolutely phenomenal, but I'm not sure if they're still in business. It is/was located near the central station (walking distance), although I'm not sure of the address.

.... but whatever you do, for the love of God, stay the F**K away from the Little Mermaid. It's not spectacular, it's just a waste of time.

(Oh and the nerd in me tells you to actually check out the airport, it's actually really beautiful - especially terminal 3. Sorry. Had to be done.)
