Contact Calling

This maybe a serious noob question but....

With the new changes to AltisLife.co.uk I find that as a civ i appear to be in a group of 'one'.

Therefore my character is repeatedly shouting out positions and contacts... Is there any way to disable contact calling?

Second question: I assume that when my char 'contact calls' all in the vicinity can hear this? stopping me from sneaking around >

Any help would be appreciated!

Have you tried creating a gang then leaving? If that doesnt work you can go into audio settings and turn down 'Radio' it will stop you from hearing it.

Can anyone confirm if the contact calls are heard by other people or not?

Yes, they can hear you in the vicinity, freaking loud too. I dont think it is too directional though
