Hi all, I’m very new to PC gaming infact I only brought a PC to play this server, however I seem to keep crashing and my textures are not loading, now I don’t know if it’s me being a cabbage and not doing something correct but I’m just wondering if anyone can reccomend settings for the RP server to try and stop the crashes.

My PC specs are
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-core
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super
16gb of RAM DDR4

Any help is welcome thanks guys

Firstly the way FiveM works if you ever disconnect from any server close FiveM down otherwise this can be a cause of texture loss.

Also make sure Extended Texture budget is 3/4 of the way max. You dont want it too high as it can cause texture issues.

When you say you keep crashing, how often? Anything you do that triggers this?

And I assume its a FiveM crash not PC crash?

Hi sir,

I shall alter the texture budget when I’m next online but I’m pretty sure I’ve set it to 0.

And amazing I didn’t know that I had to shut down fivem I shall start doing that now when it crashes.

Yes it’s just a fivem crash, not anything in particular I’ve recognised that can trigger this, but the error codes keep mentioning something about shaders and massachusetts-emma-mars I’m not too sure if these mean anything in particular.

It probs crashes about 3/4 times per 3 hour session
Sorry I’m a total noob to PC

This part a Dev might be a better help with.

General youtube videos will help. Cleaning Cache, Following recommendations to prevent crashes ect.

Also research making sure your drivers are updated.

And monitor your stats eg GPU/ CPU temp ext and make sure the usage isnt too high. If so lower your graphics

Hey @sp3ng - Welcome!
Sorry to hear you're having crashes!

- Are you using any graphics mods, shaders, etc?
- Have you reviewed your CFX Log? (Press the Windows Key + R, type C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\FiveM\FiveM.app\logs and press "Ok", have a look through your most recent log file)
- Have you monitored your CPU/RAM/GPU utilisation and temperatures whilst running the game? Do any/all spike prior to the crash?

You're welcome to provide your CFX Log here if you're unsure, please do be advised though that the file might contain information that you don't want to share online, review the file and remove any details before providing it.

Hi Gordon No Mods are being used.

I cant check my CFX log, when I copy and paste that it just comes up with a error I have copied some of the crash info if thats any help?

yeah when playing they're both sitting around 32% and around 50/65 degrees

My tips would be to verify your GTAV files in steam or where every you have it installed. Then when you're in game set your grapihcs to low for now and texture budget to at least half way. Also go to your nividia control panel and set a FPS limit to 60 or 70 fps. This help the game stutter a lot less and is more friendly on your rig. Let us know how all this goes and we can move on from there. Also Welcome to RPUK.
