Quick description of what happened:-

I have been advised by my law team under instruction by Mr Charlie Brown, to put in this compensation request.

I bought my iffrit from the donators shop for 1.5mil i am pretty new to the server and also a donator, but it is a big loss having it scrapped with no warning me and my friends were going to park in the Kavala garage and get our Hemmt's out to go try out iron mining and... BANG!!!! all shot down with no warning what so ever, looking over the documentation with my lawyer we find nothing which implements this to be an illegal vehicle here are links for the documentation we have access to.

To be honest it is an armored vehicle mostly used for big operations (uhum and trolling). So it is kind of "obvious" that it was scrapped. Driving it in a populated town is also a bad idea. 
On the other hand it is not implemented in the law that it is illegal, same as go-karts.

BTW was it scapped by police or chop chop?

If you were RDM'ed report it to CI/DI (god,fisher,bob) (talk it out on TS and ask for comp), or go to the forums.

But yeah should be implemented in the Laws/fines
 

 
Yeah I was there in-game as charlie brown and tried rp'ing as Hazy's lawyer and my concerns (i.e. it's not documented anywhere and he didn't know) were overruled and they scrapped it.

I appreciate that players who have been on the server for some time know about this undocumented law and obviously understand the risks of driving in kavala in an ifrit. But until this information is made freely available in the law post topic (under rules and information subforum), I find it hard to understand how police can just hand out on-sight scrappings, especially on a vehicle which now costs £3 million. A warning in this particular instance would've been more appropriate imo and then if he was seen again dealt with accordingly.

Option 1: Upgrade to bigger house.

Option 2: Buy Iffrit

This has brought up some good points, however, please provide some proof that you had an ifrit and it was scrapped. Thanks.

Taken shortly after i bought it, i have no proof it was scrapped other than it isnt in my garage anymore and the many witnesses around the garge including the officers that scrapped it only Officers names i remember are Jared Wolf who i think is the one that actually did scrap it and SGT DELETER whom i was taken to to resolve the matter and he also advised me to put in this claim.

I was the officer who scrapped it, however I was not on scene first; when I arrived at the scen you were restrained with a sniper rifle on your back(thous why I assumed you were tazed on sight ) being the only officer on scene with the power to scrap and being that ifrits are SOS (scrap on sight) i went ahed and scrapped it, now I understand that in the "laws" ingame it as not yet been rewritten that ifrit are illegal, but I'm fairly sure that according to UK laws(and probalby the laws of a lot of other countries) driving an aroumored miltary veichle in the middle of a town (with an illigal military grade sniper rifle )would provide grounds for the police to both taze on sight and scrap them veichle, and if you are so new to the game how did you get enough money to buy all that gear (i understand you are donator but still it's about 2 mil worth of gear you had on you..)..besides I'm pretty sure that common sense would suffice to understand that neither military gear weaponry nor veichles are leagal especially in the center of Kavala....

 
I had no sniper rifle on me at all, if that is the case why wasn't i fined for having said weapon, we have quite a big group who do runs of all sorts of in game materials, for instance i have just came back from an Iron run which 2 hemmt's split between 3 of us netted me 324k, i'm not here for arguements and thankyou Gioele for posting your views, i would like to add i am NOT blaming the force as you were following your instructions...One thing for sure i will not be buying another xD

Maybe it was a differnt occasion,but as I have stated It's pretty obvious that armored veichle are illegal( you would not drive around in a BTR IRL....would you? :ph34r: )..and dont worry I'm not taking this either as a rant against the force or me and the officers responding, and I do agree that more specif laws should come ASAP, but still even if there wasn't a forum post stating that murder is indeed illegal in Altis you would not just go ahed and do assume it's legal ....

WITH THIS BEING SAID I'M NOT HERE TO ARGUE EITHER SO THIS ARE MY VIEWS ON THE MATTER AND I WILL SAY NO MORE ON THIS

I was the one that got permission to scrap the ifrit after he combat stored it. I asked him to pull it out then I scrapped it. I know  that the ifrit is against the rules. I did say sorry but that's how I have been told to handle the problem. 

 
Combat stored? i got out stored my vehicle as i normally would and then i was on the ground i didnt even know you guys where there until i was told on skype police have just gunned us down then i was eating dirt, like i said on site I must of been desynced, as soon as i had the funds to get it back out the garage i did, thanks so much to the officer who wire transfered the cash to me, i have been on the server now for a week and only been done for carrying an illegal weapon once and trafficing cocaine twice i have no bounty i'm a model citizen , never robbed no-one or killed anybody apart from in car accidents, i bought the Iffrit because i thought it would be cool to cruise around in MY GOD how wrong was i...

I was on the server as this was going down, can confirm they were talking about it getting scrapped and there being a lack of laws.

 
I tried to explain to you guys that the "Lack of Laws" is not our fault. We are doing what we are told to do. 

 
@ i understand entirly what you are saying and i did state in an earlier post and i quote "i would like to add i am NOT blaming the force as you were following your instructions...One thing for sure i will not be buying another xD" I hope one thing comes from this post even if i don't get re-imbursed, and that is your handbook and the information we get as civs is updated to avoid any issues in the future for other citizens of Altis.

Be lucky you only got one scrapped, police scrapped 73 Ifrits from me in total :'( But its a illegal vehicle, so....

 
What everyone should remember, special for those that have been playing for a while here is that what is sems obvious to some may not be too others.  In my state there is an actual club that restores and drives around military vehicles with the appropriate permits.  Now knowing this and if I have not seen other servers rules making it illegal I can easily see how one may think its ok to own here.

For clarity what vehicles/aircraft does the APD believe to be illegal and will scrap on sight?

Actually if you check your handbook levi you should see that Ifrits, striders and 50 cal offroads are illegal vehicles. it does look like from the request you were shot at by rebels i would imagine, but the garage is a greenzone so i'd report that. if you all died, and the ifrit was left there, at the garage it's usually down to the officer to decide what to do with it. personally, if it was at the garage i'd impound it if i just turned up on the scene, but if you're leaving it on my roads (kavala), it's getting scrapped.

Edit- scratch that, read some more of the posts. I'll have a look through the handbook soon, but it's in my police training manual.
