I really like this new Tech section. I'm making a 16TB Linux Raid server (it's the thing the screen is sitting on). Guess what, video coming soon TM... not very soon though, got to learn how to do things without a GUI  :Confused:

I switched back to Ubuntu server from CentOS, is bash a text editor type program or a feature?

bash is the "prompt" you use.. and this is CentOS 7 VPS ciaran made for testing...

type nano ~/.bashrc

look for:

# User specific aliases and functions
below it put:

PS1='\[\033[02;36m\]\u@\H:\[\033[02;31m\][\w\$]\[\033[00m\] '

ahh I see, I use VIM and it has it but not in the cmd line. In other news, tonight, I finally got this file server up and running. It's only taken about 3 weeks  rooling:  I'm on an endorphin high right now lol!
