I would personally love the addition of the comic book store. You can have the owner or employee make trading cards (like top trumps) off the well known established members off the city. With them being available in mint or dirty condition. Adding the incentive to try and collect them all with being able to trade in X amount of Holo mint cards for a cash bonus.

They would serve no purpose other than to show other citizens like you do with ID. Collect pops, comics and action figures. Add's an element of realism for us geeks.

I don't know how possible this would be to do in RP with someone starting out with just sharing links to trading cards online or producing there own comic books but if there was going to be a new business its always best to see it start within RP and showing the potential before things are added. If you wanted to do this I would just just whip up a tweedle account and start advertising.

How does he do that with no props? just think about it for a second, you cant just "imagine" youve got comic books and cards. Someone needs to make the cards before he can trade them. 

If you can do the voice from Comic Book Guy in the Simpsons you get a massive  plus 1 from me.

make a x amount of cards online and send links to them, best way to do it until/if something gets added

 
I understand from both ends what you're saying. Without the actual trading cards you can't expect people to pay for them ect. The concept works well in no pixel and other Cities i've been in. You can easily RP it, sell food, snacks inside the comic book store also but the RP side of it would need to be manned. If I was to run it I'd spend all of my time there tbh.

 
Text someone a link. Tell them its an nft. 

Sell it to lots of people in the first ever rpuk nft scam. 

Retire.

 
So this is the trading cards in my previous city. You get them in a clean or Dirty variant. So they are in your pockets and work the same as the ID card but they are of value ect and once you collect the "set" then you can trade them in for x amount of money.

Trading in card sets for money would link in quite with @Liamsuggestion for doing things like searching through trash.

After collecting a complete set of cards from the trash as you put in your suggestion, they could then be traded in at the comic book store for money.

It's just another form of currency or collecting. Just like pokemon IRL!

you wouldn't collect them from the trash though, a certain vendor should be able to sell you a booster pack for example contains 3 cards at random for £4000 but the vendor is charged lets say £1000 for them to be created to have them as stock.

You then and only then can trade them in at the local store if you have the full collection but pulling the Secret Rare card from each series would have a probability of 1 in 100.

Like collecting pokemon, but these are also tradable to other citizens who are collectors ect.

 
Me & @Stveactually proposed this idea some time ago have already made a bunch of card designs for the server. In the similar style as Top Trump cards/Pokemon card hybrid. With stats and description/rp story.

These cards include well known figures in the city, known locations, popular NPCs within the city.

These would of course all have different rarities and drop rates. A binder will be used to collect all the cards. Down the line even an option to play top trumps was an Idea floated about. There are a bunch of other ideas we have for the cards to bring something new.

In terms of the comic book store, the NoPixel store will be virtually impossible to use due to all the different NoPixel assets it would take forever to change it all and I don't think that will happen, the use of the market stalls would work though, plus some other ideas I've had.
