Character Question

So hi, I'm new to altis life and what a wonderful server to start on too!

My question is this...does my ign cone from my steam account or my arma profile? And if it is from arma profile is it possible to change this name and character looks on the profile without losing my current progress? Or would I need to start fresh?

I don't think Myrmidon_Achilles is a great altis life name sadly

Welcome to Altis, first of all. It's gonna be a good time. Your IGN will come from your ARMA profile that you've set up, but all stats and the like are saved to your player ID, which you cannot change. No matter what name or face you're using, you'll have the same stats. I change my name all the time from [AEGIS] AlanB to AlanB to Alan Brenan - all kinds of changes
