Changes to Radio/Phones

Firstly thank you for the quality of life improvements added last week.

With regards to the range changes on radios and phones and the addition of cellphone tower radius :-

Although I welcome the change and it does make it more immersive and believable, I have heard on 2 seperate occasions in the smelters that people are “using oustside communications” and talking “outside the city” as a workaround for this.  Others agreed that they weee also doing this.  The smeltery was packed and I don’t know who said this to get their session ID, however, it is clear that users are using Discord etc.. to get around the radio issue.  This is unfair on the players who are abiding by the rules so unfortunately I have to propose that the system is reversed back to how it was before out of server comms become commonplace.

Then they would likely be punished if they are caught. Plus the phone radius wouldn't affect them anyway.

Because there is signal everywhere in the main area of the city?

I’m guessing they leave the main area of the city if they are using outside comms

Even outside of the main area there is still signal mostly everywhere unless you are in a location like the mountains.
