CEDAR is a charity that I at the moment am part of. CEDAR stands for Cedar Foundation. We raise money for disabled children and adults that live in Bulgaria and all around the world (me and my school concentrate mainly on Bulgaria). They started off in conditions that where unimaginable. From having horrible abusive caretakers to making them sit in a large room for more than 9 hours a day. Once my school ISZL (a international school in Switzerland) found out how they lived and decided to help. I am one of 40+ people from the school that are raising money for the children/adults in Bulgaria. Our goal since 2015 is 12,000 Fr. We at the moment are at 6,000. We already have brought the children out of there horrible conditions and have hired new care takers (the care takers are volunteers). We will be going back to Bulgaria in 2 weeks to try and help out the children. They always get so happy when people from our school come to help out. This is a non profit organization we only care about helping out where we can. We also have a website where you can learn more about how to help the children and what we are really all about (http://www.cedar-foundation.org/). The charity is a lot bigger than just the school. My school and I specifically concentrate more on the disabled children in Bulgaria as this way we can make a larger difference at once. We have also started to help a second group of people in need also in Bulgaria as we have so many students that donate at our school. The events that we host both in and outside of our school help a great deal in raising money for the children.
