Casino changes

I love the Casino. Im not a gambler AT ALL irl but in GTA its been one of my favourite places to go to and just idle my day when waiting for clients (as a Lawyer). However I would like to propose a few QOL changes. Id like to see more footfall in there and have it used as a social hub for people to gather and shoot the breeze and be able to earn/lose some money on the way.

1. Could we please have a vending machine in the casino for basic (but probably expensive) food and drink. Its a casino after all, we expect to pay over the odds for stuff (same as the cinema).

2. Please can we have people "forced" to whisper at the black jack tables - or at least have voip range significantly reduced so that only players at the table can hear the conversations - this goes for the croupiers too.

3. Please can we have the Wheel spin cost reduced to 500 tokens or even 250 tokens. 1000 tokens is a LOT and changing this down would basically open up the gambler profession to be a sustainable income. It is a grind to earn 1000 tokens and you dont actually make much back in the process. I have crunched numbers and got my own system from playing often (its not cheating and I am happy to explain the maths behind it privately) but the amount of time/money I spend to get that lucky ticket is non-existent.

4. Please can we have a remote possibility of the car actually being won..... If someone has won one then please let me know here in this thread as I have yet to see ANYONE win it and i think this could be an absolutely brilliant event for the server. We could have the Casino manager present the keys to the lucky winner etc etc. blah blah and stuff.

5. Please can we have a legal job for people to work in the Casino - Pit Boss or Croupier would be amazing. I have found a way to replicate the Croupier uniform recently just by colouring a waist coat in red and getting the appropriate attire but I would absolutely love to be able to be an actual croupier and deal cards to people. If there was an additional table installed in the casino for these sorts of events then players could get together and have someone be a dealer for them. Obviously the NPC dealers will continue to provide a sterling job as always but it might be nice to have actual people to banter with while youre watching your kids university fund go up in flames....

Please feel free to reply and tell me what may work and what may not. If you disagree with 1-5 please say which one and why.

1. I mean there is a bar at the casino which could easily sell some drinks/snacks +1

2. I don't think forced whisper is needed. I usually just ask if they can whisper if someone is being super loud or annoying -1

3. Reducing the wheelspin will just make people sit afk grinding 10£ bets to get enough tokens to profit fast on getting the wheelspins for very little effort -1

4. I do believe it is possible as I have heard from few. Winning a car like the ones displayed should have very low chances as it is very easy to get a wheelspin. -1

5. It is a nice thought but i think it will be hard to implement properly. Don't see it working being a RP job with how many fresh players come in just to gamble and have no RP +/-

The bar being a proper bar would help. I raised that in another thread. It'd make for a great hang out.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you can't draw weapons in there right. If its a fully safe zone due to casino security that'd make it a good spot to meet for other nefarious activities without the risk of robbery possibly. Like no fighting at all.

Spitballing here on a lunch break.

3 and 4..... its against the rules to do that no? 5, sorry no idea what you mean. but cheers for the reply.

1) Food would be awesome to buy in the casino +1

2) It's not a hospital or a library where you have to be quiet. Hearing people scream and shout when they win something or just having a conversation in the background is part of the experience no? -1

3) Just going over a year now and the clothing tokens still do nothing. The wheel is boring and an afterthought for a lot of people who leave the casino. Having an option to spin the wheel with cash as well as with the tokens would be cool, I personally don't want to sit at a table for over an hour just to spin the wheel. Any changes welcome to the wheel +1

4) I've come across 1 fella who won it, been a good few months from now though. Would be cool to have the manager hand it over but then again, who the hell works in the casino anymore? Think it was Jason who would give tours of the VIP room above and TBJ selling chips a while back. Talking about the car, perhaps change it to an addon vehicle that's not sold at any of the dealerships? +1

5) Can you explain how this would work? You standing at the table smashing spacebar to deal out the cards? Don't think you'd have a lot of people be interested in doing that. Rather see somebody behind the chip exchange place or at the bar. -1

basically the dealer job by itself could be boring yes as you wouldnt necessarily get many people in but if you amalgamate casino duties into a single role it could be rewarding. So as the "casino manager" youd be the croupier, bar tender, pit boss, front of house person etc all in one. This would give you multiple roles to fill as the host of the casino and entertain clients. think of the film Casino (Sam Rothstein character) and see some of the different things you can do. Variety is the idea. If you do a single, simple job then yes it gets boring, this isnt work. its meant to be fun. If you do a variety of multiple different things you can explore to your imaginations (and hearts) content. With a decent personality and some charisma it could be a very successful role for the right person.

the casino needs the footfall first however, and that means getting people in and getting them to gamble with their hard (or not so hard) earned money. It would also provide a good cash sink for the economy but thats another thing.
