Can we have the rebel / police meeting back

Hoggie

So since Steph was removed from admin , there have not been any police / rebel meetings. Personally i really liked these , as rebels / police were able to talk out problems in a peaceful way and it benefited everyone. This meant that the relationship between police and rebels got better.

I would love to be able to see the meeting come back as its the best way to clear the air between small problems and in which make the relationship between the two factions get on better.

Hopefully the CSI's / SI's will get on board with this and help make it a very helpfull and useful meeting for everyone @Axolotl @Spunky Bumlove

@Neo, would this be something you could do , i feel it would personnally benefit everyone and i would very much like to have it back. Do you feel this is something you could do?

Please give feedback if you want the meeting back or not as i feel it will benefit everyone.

Edit -

Sorry for the bad grammer , on my phone it is not working the best at the moment.

I wasn't in the police when the meetings happened, nor was I in a proper rebel group. But I do like the sound of it.

As you said, hopefully it can clear the air and help stop some of the disputes between the two groups.

It was honestly a very useful thing , i was in most of the meetings when i was in the police and when i played full time rebel life. I felt the meeting helped sort a lot of shit out and would benefit if we were able to host a meeting again.

The only issue is not everyone in-game will be on the teamspeak or the forums so they won't attend the meetings or read the minutes. Therefore there will be groups that have attended but the newer groups and people that haven't been or read about them will carry on as usual. Then police will be like 'we agreed that isn't to happen anymore' and that person wouldn't have a clue. Same goes vice Versa.

It would be beneficial for the groups and for the police that attend and maintain attendance though, just we can't tell who's been to one or not.

It would need to be a channel with specific talk power/permission and oversight from neutral parties and not held directly by either side.

I would very much like to have those meetings back! Sadly Neo is a very busy man, perhaps management can rotate the schedule? So it doesn't fall on the shoulders of one man?

Hopefully if you get a chance at some point you could get a nice PM to one of them. Pretty sure there is 5 people in managment team , so that would be each one of them hosting one meeting every 5 weeks ( if there is a weekly meeting) or every 10 weeks ( if its a meeting every two weeks)

Obviously it would just he a thing that can happen when it happens , not like an exact time every week , as we all know real life can get in the ways at times. Just be great for everyone to share what they think is good and bad and come to a conclusion on how to improve it all.

@Samatlewiss- The way it worked before was an admin took away everyones premmision for normal members , then there were a few rebel representatives who had talk powers and the SI + had talk powers.

I honestly recall the relationship between the rebels and police improved a lot , and there was a lot less people constatly in the liasion room.

Clearly all the main gangs like MM , LOV etc will all have a representative to talk about what they need to.

I think it would work very well if it became a thing again.

This has been asked for time and time again, and we did do one after steph left however;

 - decisions were made in these meetings by 1 person representing a full team.
 - RoE decisions were made, with people not attending meetings/not reading forums not knowing anything about them.
and so on.

Whilst a lot of the time it was good to let the heat out, a lot of things were decided and agreed upon by only those there.

I don't mind running another meeting but,

 - I cannot talk on behalf of all management
 - I can't make up rules on the spot, they need published.
 - Decisions that affect roleplay cannot be agreed upon as those not attending or reading forums will have no clue what these decisions are.

I think, if anything, these meetings will be good to give community feedback on already written rules... If many people are uncertain about something, we as Staff can write down these issues and then take it to our private Staff meetings where we can speak to all Management/Staff/Member support and edit the already existing ones, etc.

Management cannot change rules on the spot and I believe this is the issue as seen last time... Things were being said but not noted anywhere and then it became 1 rule for 1 person and a different for others.

Personally think it's better to have a small meeting maybe even once a month with some of the large gangs and high up police. Then some points made can be put into the popo meeting.
