Hello boys and girls!
Me and my friend just recently started bounty hunting and we really enjoy it.
We do have the "buy a tip" feature ofc but
I was just wondering. We know the wanted civilian name, can we call him and let him now via the SMS system ingame that we are looking for him, and we want to resolve the situation.
Is this metagaming in any way or just a simple search on the yellowpages and contact the guy?

Proper Question; Is it metagaming to contact the guy beforehand (via the phone) to resolve this situation and help him ?

On a sidenote people, bounty hunters are not bad, we get alot of hate on being this. And when i say alot, i mean it.  We know many have "meta'd" ceartin people and i asure you, myself and my friends now in the BountyHunting biz will never do such a thing. We really enjoy the RP of it.

Hope il talk to you in-game!

I don't know anything as a bountyhunter, but as far as I believe you do not know the telephone number of the civilian in a roleplayish way, so I think it's metagaming. It's such a good way, but not allowed if I believe so.

YES, It is a good way. But like real bounty hunters sit on that info unless they change the number.

Wouldn't make a difference for you, it would make sense to have their phone since bounty hunters have access to registries and such but there is no chance that the person would contact you back unless it was to insult you.

It would not. But it would give the chance to the guy to clear his name. And to me improve the BountyHunting experience. We're looking for good roleplay.
