Black Screen On Loadup

Hi,
Pretty much I turn my Computer on fine, and then it loads Windows and then goes to a Black Screen. Tried cleaning the fans and stuff.

What version of windows are you running ??

I'd like to also say that I think I had this issue for a while.

If its the same as what I had, as a temporary fix I would open task manager and manually start explorer.exe. Not sure how I fixed it in the end, or if this is the same problem but thats what I did.

is it a desktop or laptop?

If it's a laptop - is it trying to present to a screen that isnt conencted? Did you recently have it connected to a TV or something that supports a higher resolution than your built in screen can handle?

I was gonna go straight to windows version then safe mode
