After being RDM'd/VDM'd etc multiple times recently i've decided to start recording. Can i have some advice on the best systems to record with? Pros and cons etc

Fraps; Good quality, but the files gets amazing big so you need to render them down if you don't have a very good net.

What graphics card do you have, If its a good nvidia card then shadowplay is the best

If you have the right nvidia card you can use shadowplay. It records everything while you play and deletes the files that are older than x amount of time. Fraps is also good but the size of the videos is too big so you have to delete some recordings after 1-3 hours of playing, depending on your hard drive.

I have AMD Radeon R5 235 + HD 7560D Dual graphics (gibberish to me)

I use Dxtory, it's takes quite a while to setup and you have to download a few addons. But the quality is great and the file size is very small for the quality.

I use Shadowplay, loving it so far, it's a bit glitchy but once it runs it's brilliant.

Just set the shadow recording to 5min and play normally, if anything happens just press alt+f10 and you got the last 5min stored.

I missed the post where you tell us you got an AMD.

To be honest I'll be careful here as I know close to nothing about these things, I happen to know that allmost every youtuber I follow seem to be using Dxtory, definitely worth checking out.

Since you have an AMD card you should use Action! Very good quality, doesnt make your game lag as much as fraps, but the files do get pretty big.

I hear potatoes and microwaves work well to record, if you need one to be set up for you I can help <3

If you have Nvidia graphics card, use ShadowPlay. It is simple and easy to use, doesn't affect performance at all and filesize is good. Then use something like Sony Vegas Pro 12 or 13 or whatever to process the video and upload at 1080p (or whatever resolution you play at).

If you do not have an nvidia gpu, then use Mirillis Action to record, it again like shadowplay doesnt affect performance much and filesize is good. Quality is arguably little better than SP too.
