Value of item/money lost: 100k per bar.. so 2.6 million total :/
Quick description of what happened: Never done a comp request before (lost a lot to server crashes) but finally decided to do one...
The server had already crashed on us when we obtained the gold, luckily my half had saved in my house but my friends did not (he had 25 bars, so that's 2.5 mill gone due to a crash, but that's not relevant).
So in the small hours of the following day I decided to go and sell the gold as there is less people online which means (in my tiny head) less chance of a server crash? Not to be the case.
Not sure if it's a thing that gold cannot be comped but the only way I could sell it was by transporting it in my truck (leaving it vulnerable to being lost by a server crash which I wish I could predict and not have lost).
Although it looked like just my client crashing, it was in fact everyone on the server (as you will hear in TS) who's game froze.
Now left with no gold (this was my first successful bank job) and feeling upset about it.
Also lost a MK18 with attachments and mags but not looking for comp from that.
Please post video evidence/screenshots here: I have this small clip just before and during the crash but the gold bars are not visible when I open my inventory due to the poor video quality. I do have a full video showing me putting the bars in but I do not want to expose my house to other naughty people on the forums (so can PM to an admin if need be).
