Banned for Attempting to RP as a difrent person (Unbanned 28/11/2014)

Right, i wanned to try something because i thought i would be good RP and fun to do, what i wanned to do was find a person with a bounty, then get thier name, details about the crime and excact bounty number, i would then go to the cops and pretent to be this person making it belivebel by having all the info so that, i would be arested insted of the real criminal, and then do their time for them

i dont know if that would clear the criminals bounty or if the cops would belive it at all but i thought it would be a fun thing to try, however i could not find anyone willing to pertisipate in this with me so i send a few MSG trough the phone system hoping to find one, and then i got banned

soo yeah im not really sure what i did wrong here, the only explination i got when i asked an admin was that i had send one of the phone MSG to a dude that was banned for hacking, but i really dont see what that has to do with me

i have Re-read the rules, and i cant find anything relating to this in anyway so as far as i can tell no rules where broken

I can vouch for FriendlyFire in that all he did was try to message people using the mobile to attempt to start a role-play situation and got banned for it. I think he might have gotten mistaken for someone else?

 
I saw his messages this morning too, and must admit I was surprised when I saw he was banned for 'modifying the bounty list' or something similar. From my perspective he was just setting up some RP, and to be honest seemed like quite an innovative business model if he got away with it. Although I'm sure this is massively against Altis Law, I think a ban for what he did was wrong. ..Unless of course I haven't seen the whole picture, if he did indeed modify something he shouldn't have then ban him again for good measure.

 
Maybe you shoudnt take advantage you have to do that.

You are a guy with rules, but i think you are forcing situations, and forcing guys commiting mistakes. Then you record and then you report.

Maybe its a new thing, and maybe they change.

He's definitely not modified anything (I play with him on TS). But there was a hacker on at the time and I think he might have got confused / mixed up in it.

His plan was basically for a fee, he'd walk into the police HQ claiming to be someone else, if they didn't check properly, he would serve the sentence for someone else.

Nothing in the rules say that this is wrong, so hopefully it was just a bit of a mistake to implement the ban and can get it rescinded.
