Banned but didn't get a chance to explain the situation

I was caught stealing from a police car and was restrained, which was fair I was breaking the law, after a minute or two the officer came back to me and said that I would be going to jail for attempted theft. I was arguing with him that I thought it was unfair and that if anything I should get a fine with a warning as it was the first offence. I was annoyed and jumped out of the police car twice, this is when I was warned that if I did it again I would be banned. The cop was about to put me in the car again when someone crashed into the car with an ifrit, killing two cops, himself and me. Then while I was respawning I got the message that I had been banned for vdm? I don't think that it was fair that I got banned because if I was put in the car again I would have stayed in it an served my time in jail, anyway that's why I think I should be unbanned.
