Right i dont mean offence by this post i really dont but im quite fumming at this current time. (I also wont mention names)

Tonight i logged on for a nice peaceful patrol after a long week at work. Hoping for a little roleplay and a few laughs. I saw a sports hatchbach sitting outside the Athira HQ waiting. I entered the hq brought my crumpets came back outside to find the hatchback to still be there. I then left the HQ Were i was followed. I was responding to a fuel station robbery in Laka. I arrived on scene expeting some hobo with a pistol and was greated with man roleplaying as a shop keeper asking me how my day was and would i like to purchase any of his goods. Then the gang what was following me got out there veichle with guns when i was in a role play session and with the same boring "Officer Put your hands up" and that was it i then complied and officers surronding the area lead to a gunfight.

Know you might be thinking, that does not sound to bad. But when i login to see a hatchback full of men in rebel clothing waiting for a officer to spawn in just to follow me and interupt my Role play session just to make a few "Quid" is in my eyes just "Crap" Then when i confronted one member of the said gang then denied it. But For a gang member who admmited thats what they were doing "Waiting for cops to spawn" I do appreciate your honesty!

If this is what the server is coming to were you can not even spawn in and role play without a gun being envloved then what has the world come to?

Sorry im just salty to spawn in to find out there is rebels waiting for a cop to appear out the blue so they can just make money. its clear exploting.

+1 also when people follow medics around to rob the people after we treat them is so bad that I just stop responding to calls if someone is following me and robbing or killing people I'm helping.

'Campers'

Police are not allowed to camp the weed fields.

Rebels are allowed to trigger cops and to ambush them?

i had a same situation..

2 Hatchback sports filled with 4 man in total ( 2 by 2 ) driving around on high speed trough kavala. 1 vehicle was wanted.

as police i started to follow them when i notist that i was being followd by the other hatchback. We failed to keep track on the wanted hatchback and turnted around back to kavala. Were at some point the roles were turned. 2 Hatchback sports were following the police.

Il start ignoring this types of RolePlay games as its just a waist of time that i can spent on a Real RP story. Instead of being pulled out of reach for backup and then being taking hosted or being shot..

Police catch rebels or rebels catch police?

There has been a lot of people baiting us with ifrits recently, baiting is crappy. Get a tail and run to the redzone is taking the piss.

Yes, I know that the way that some people have been trying to kidnap cops in not something to be taken kindly. It disgusts me that some people do nothing else but wait outside of the HQ to kidnap a cop.

However, the cops must also see a rebel side, the police holidays are a great way for this, it's really irritating and frustrating if cops powergame rebels. As a result, rebels will start baiting cops, not because they think it's funny, but because they want the cops to experience the same quality of roleplay.

I am not saying that the cops are to blame for everything, it's a downwards spiral, one side begins, another reacts and it continues like that. I have been seeing somewhat 'newer' cops but also senior officers powergame, mostly in the form of restraining asap and then just tell the rebels that they have done something wrong. As said before, the rebel will tell their gang/allies and they will start to provoke or irritate cops by 'baiting' them outside of the HQ. This is comparable to being in restrains, meaning, that you are unable to do anything correctly.

A possible solution for this would be organizing team building events for both sides to enjoy, most certainly not a Rebel vs Cop, as this could cause more negaitive responses coming from both sides.

Remember, a cops duty is to catch rebels and a rebels duty is to make a cops life hard. It's part of the side that you chose and isn't up to an induvidual to make break through decisions. However, you could try and keep it fun for both parties. If everbody just did this one thing, the community would be a better in-game place.

#It'sJustAGame, don't take things personally and if you don't like something, speak to them about it.

Hehehehe, ifrits are my favourite so my response would be: "You don't have to chase them, you chose to chase them."

Just keep that in mind, ifrits mean no harm unless you force them to.

This is based on a simple psychology and one of Newtons laws, every action has a reaction, if you as a cop don't respond to the action(ifrit) there will be no reaction from the rebel side.

Yes, now cops will be coming with things such as: "Yeah, but we must chase them" & "They are illegal, we can't just let them drive here". I only ask you to keep it mind, as long as you don't react to the ifrit, the rebels can't do anything to you. An example of this is 'Mitch.', he treated an ifrit as any other vehicle and no shots were fired.

If ifrits are taken out as regurly as this again, then my suggestion would be to decrease the price of them and rebel gear, this brings a much lesser loss if rebels try to roleplay their way out. In other words, I would rather try to RP my way out of 200K gear then guaranteed losing 600K worth of gear.

If you know that it's only going to get you killed, then why chase them? Keep in mind that IRL you would value your life over getting a perfectly road legal vehicle scrapped. Atleast, I would.

Action. Reaction true.. i cant agree more :)

take out a illegal item or vehicle and ofcourse the police will come after you!

Action: Take out the ifrit.  Rection: police behind you.

And i also agree. You dont have to.. its your choice.. to take out the ifrit :p

But... But... I just use it to gather peaches...

Oh and another solution for the ifrit baiting would be to just legalize them, if it's not illegal then they cops don't have to chase them.

But I have the feeling that I am derailing the thread, so continue with your lovely replies about our beloved @JohnJoeegan's original post.

I just love the way everyone only see's it as cops powergaming, I'd love for anyone here to give a false name to a cop while driving "his friends car"

You'd simply be served a producer, now lets say we go this route how many of you are actually going to turn up with those said papers?

Power gaming is a 2 way street, "it's my friends car" how ever is some what seen as a valid excuse that can not be argued by the law which is utter shite, you're more likely to get a wider probe using this excuse, wheres your insurance docs etc etc etc ...

You and @DSGT Tampax when he was on his police holiday did the same to me twice and left my body in a ditch on the first attempt, although it improved my role play and decision making when held at gun point haha xD
