Bad Fps

Is there anything that can be changed outside of the launcher or main game that increases frame rate? My PC is pretty good but with all the settings on standard the game only runs at max 45 fps.

Probably not Arma is very poorly optimised and it is to be fairly expected that you would have average frame rates for even a fairly decent computer, unless you had something absolutely ridiculous in terms of hardware you would not expect any fairly noticeable changes to your FPS. If you are running at around 45 maximum and perhaps 30-35 minimum just forget about what it's running at and just play. Everybody anticipates for when 64 bit Arma releases and hopefully it will be more 'optimized' however I can't see it really doing much especially for people who play such dense servers such as Altis Life servers.

As Saul mentioned Arma is extremely in-optimised all Bohemia interactive games are, it's a issue they've had with their engines for a while. However the server does take up a substantial amount of Potential that you could receive. I strongly advise you look at your launcher's advanced preferences and change some of the settings there for example allow more RAM to be taken up by Arma. Another issue is that your CPU needs to be extremely powerful, as Arma is a CPU intensive game. If you have a good graphics card but a bad CPU the game isn't going to run as well for you.
