Everytime i go on ALUK, my FPS just drops insanely. I don't have the problem any where else, just only on the servers. Does anyone else get it. I have a 980ti and a i7 4790k. I can't get out of a car, aim down a sight without instantly dropping to 5 fps. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

Is the game installed on an SSD? Its possible that when the map loads in from your drive it is hitching and causing lag. Particularly if it's FPS lag.

SSD. I have 8gb of ram as well. Only recently been the problem, i have a video of what just happened at an op with this lag. 

 
Just done a config file tweak with Dark on TS that seems to have done the job.

Changing these: https://gyazo.com/f5857164110a7e07dfa5a830a3931a9b settings to the values in arma3.cfg shown in the screenshot has caused "the smoothest I've played the game in about a week"

Could be a coincidence but worth a try. Anyone who wants more detailed instructions can message me on TS if they want XD

 
can somebody tag the man responsible for the fix, we need arma fps wizards here ;)

 
Maybe one day BI will actually optimise Arma or create a new engine lol
