Arma 3 Recording Issue

Hello!

Was looking to get started into making videos, since AltisLife.co.uk is a big part of what I play on a day to day basis I wanted to start getting some footage on the server, however it seems the only way I can do this is either shadowplay, or DxTory in windowed mode :/ What I would prefer is to be able to record with DxTory in Fullscreen! Anybody have a solution to do this?

Hmm, not a big fan of that for recording either as you can only have your game and mic audio on one track :/

I'm not into the whole video editing thing but as far as recording incase someone breaks a rule obs is great. For some reason I never had any luck with shadow play and because I'm a idiot I often forget to save recording with the backlog thing. So now I just record constantly onto a unused partition of my hard drive. The files are actually pretty small the only problem I have is it takes ages to import into windows moviemaker.

I record fullscreen with dxtory for altislife without any issue whatsoever. The setup I use is identical to JackFrags, with his tutorial and own recording specs found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw6YAoai8fQ

When dxtory does not work for certain games I use bandicam instead which I find to be fantastic. It has both a trial and a paid version: http://www.bandicam.com/downloads/

I've found Windows Movie Maker to be incredibly cumbersome, slow, and impossible to use with the large raw files dxtory creates. Much better to use Movie Studio 13 Platinum (its the version below what Sony Vegas is and you are able to upgrade to it): http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/moviestudiope

What problem do you have with ShadowPlay? If it's just windowed mode just check through your settings and disable/re-enable it. It's a great recorder as it has little to no impact on the games framerate, you can have it record all audio or just PTT (i set this as my direct chat key) 

Plus you dont have to be recording all the time, you can have it just save up to the last 20 minutes.

I use AMD gaming evolved, it's not the best, I just use it to record in case someone breaks the rules so it does what I need it to do, it also records automatically when you launch games and let's you choose what quality you want to record at. I do also like OBS but I get a black screen when I try to record arma for some reason (every other game is fine).
