Hey guys. Anybody is playing A3 at laptop? How much did you pay for it? I have "not bad" PC and I have FPS struggles. I wonder how good a laptop has to be to run the Arma smoothly.

You'd definitely want to stick to desktop as you can customise/update much easier than a laptop. More variety/compatibility.

I've also wondered how well people's laptops run Arma tbh!

I use all my games on my laptop and they all run fine, but my laptop did set me back £1200

Yea, I totally agree with you, but I am traveling abroad quite often. I must say, that I am quite happy, that I am gaming-free, when out of my desktop, because my laptop can hardly run fifa 98 :D

I have a pretty good laptop because I need it for school, but I hate to play games on it.
Just don't like the keyboard and the screen. I only play Runescape on it sometimes.

But I will test A3 on it soon.
I have a MSI Gaming Series GP70 2PE-081NL Leopard.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4710HQ
GPU: GeForce GT840M 2GB
1TB HDD and 12GB RAM.

I'm currently running a Razer Blade 14 and I generally get an FPS of around 30 in Kavala while on the server and about 40 else where while running in high settings.

My MSI that I spent about $1000 can run arma decently. Any gaming laptop will set you back at least $800-$1000 for an entry level.

yeah laptops are generally pretty good when you start paying in excess of like £1200. I used an msi gs70 for like 2-3 years and handled anything I threw at it like a champ but set me back like £1500 which compared to its desktop counterpart would get you a really nice machine

oh and in general laptops run HOT

however if you aren't in one place all the time then they are definitely worth it, otherwise theres little point.
