Firstly ....Today is a very sad day, one of our Senior admins Mitch has decided to stand down as admin to put more time into his CSI position within the servers police.

Id like to thank Mitch and hope you can join me in doing so in the reply's below for the time he dedicated into this project as an admin, he is genuinely one of the nicest guys i have met so far in this community and on the internet.

You can leave the admin team... but you cant leave the server... that i will make sure of. "Wilco 2014"

Mitch has now been given the honorary team speak tag of "Mitch's Cock"

We now have some great voluntary positions to be part of the team in one of the biggest altis life community's / Arma community's in the world.

Admin Position

This now leaves us with a very big hole to fill (Not because Mitch is fat due to KFC) therefore applications are now open, Please PM me with your application the closing date is the 9th of November, Please PM Wilco with your application with the subject "Admin Position"

We are looking for the following

  • You need to have been within this community for 3 months minimum
  • Must be over the age of 20+
  • Have a strong head and able to make unbiased decisions.
  • Very active on our server/ts/website
  • Provide a very strong application
This will be a very popular so make sure you use the deadline time to submit a strong application.

Server Moderators

The role of the server moderator is a new position to AltisLife.co.uk, We are looking for two members who can be very active in-game that do not play in the police or as a rebel.

The Server moderators will have access to a panel where they are able to spectate, ban, teleport players to directly in-front of them or teleport directly in front of a player.

We are looking for

  • Active members
  • Member who has been here 3 Months +
  • Members that are 18+
  • Mature and can act with unbiased decisions
  • Can spectate a situation and make judgement based on our rules

Please be certain this is for you before applying as we expect that person to be active / unbiased and just performing moderating duty's.

Deadline is 9th of November, Please PM with with your application titled "Server Moderator"

Forum Moderator

We are looking for someone who can remain impartial and lock topics if things are getting out of hand in line with our mature community standards.

The person will be able to delete posts, lock topics , move topics

If you are interested please PM Wilco with why you would be a suitable candidate with the title as "Forum Moderator", Deadline is 9th of November

I would like to add if the server moderator positions are successful which we will know within the first few months then there may be an opportunity that we start looking for more server moderators.

 
This is indeed something our SI should look into, im interested to see who will be joining the realm of the gods.

Its a shame this PLF thing came up as it was the thing that pushed me just that bit too much, Its going to be funny when you call bullshit and im still sniping you from 1.2km away and still not teleporting as i dont have admin powers anymore. I can assure you it was never me with admin powers you had to worry about, i was the one secretly telling others to avoid using those tools in normal RP. Its just a shame the two witness stories didnt get taken into account as much as they should have. It should have ended there an then but oh well. Should have a video soon anyway i hope. I look forward to the reports again. So thank you PLF for making an EX admin not care anymore. Dont expect anything from me again. You and anyone else that accused me of it have well and truly burnt that bridge.

On another more upbeat note, i hope i done enough as an admin, i tried to keep up with unbans and be active on the server (minus the last two weeks) I tried to help as many of you as i could with the spare time i had. I just hope whoever takes the position will put as much effort in, im sure they will.

Its nice being able to say what i like now, and hey, i have more time to be a cop again!

Oh and sovereign, i didnt admin abuse once and every time you called me out you was wrong time and time again, at least i can admit to that so i would rather you dont talk behind my back in the future. You got what you wanted dont worry.

Personally I think neo does a very good job, everytime I have had to interact with him I walked off feeling there wasn't time wasted

 
Admins are not decided by the community, this is what a certain admin told me. They are chosen via meetings and communication inside the admin circle. This has advantages of this being os that the mosr popular one doesn't always win. The disadvantage is that the community cannot choice theire own 'leader'. But after all, its the admins decision <3

I think this is only because there is some extremely loved members of the community that yes are amazing people but would not be suited for the role, if those people applied they would be given the same chance as everyone else.
