Entry 01 : Leap of faith
"Money, power, glory. Altis, the island of untold riches, wealth and successful entrepreneurs"
Every coffee break, they murmored the same thing of success stories of their old friends who moved on to this island. You ignore most of it after hearing it over and over again, but I hated where I worked - I needed to move on from dreary 9-5 I was living. After my shift finished that same day I walked past the travel bureau, there behold was flight charter advertised in the window: "Sunny island of Altis, departing daily" 24 hours later I didn't turn up for work and was sat on a plane.
The first breath of fresh air As I walked off the steps into Altis Intl. Airport was intoxicating - prosperity and freedom, I took my first moments taking in scenery of landscape. My problems back home seemed insignificant, afterall I had no family and lived by myself. What did I have to lose?
Two weeks later:
After some time I noted some of the local restaurants and bars required fresh groceries delivered to their kitchens. With opportunity at my grasps I invested the little money I brought over with me and established myself as a sole trader as supplier servicing the region of Kavala. Trading has been steady but allowed me to pay rent for a bedsit just around corner from hospital in Kavala.
My journey is set to continue...
