Folks tell tales of a beast on Stratis.
It can be heard; howling profanities at "jumped up NHS scrub jockeys", seen flinging refuse at local Veg sellers, encountered praying at a makeshift shrine dedicated to a picture of a parsnip.
It is a new terror on that poor island, cast there 3 months ago by the seas, it formed a home among the bins behind the Tesco.
The authorities tried to remove it, only to be removed violently themselves, pelted with rotting veg at astonishing rates.
The rumors are wild and mostly untrue, some say it was a man, lost from a fishing vessel. Some say it came from the caves to the north. Some say it has always dwelled here.
What is known for certain however, is every night the beast would emerge from it's stinking palace to collect the pennies it would find in the gutters.
Some say it has collected enough. Some would suggest it is coming... it is returning home.
