Altis modelled on a real island?

Hi there, quick question. Does anyone know if Altis is modelled on any real island, thinking shape and topography? Wondering because I play flightsim as well..

Altis is a real island in Greece.

Altis is a real island called Limnos, it is part of Greece. All the names of the towns and cities on altis are names of other real places in greece.

Lemnos is a city south of bulgaria and east of greece. Not called altis,but it follows the same area etc.

Fun fact, the BI developers were arrested on security concerns when photographic military installations on the island.

Shiit, I had no idea the level of detail. Amazing, a shame the google car haven't been there yet. Perhaps the greece authorities are tired of this now probably being the easiest island in the world to plan an attack on
