Hi everybody,
I have been playing Altislife.co.uk for a few weeks now, approximately 1-2 hours a day around 20:00-22:00, so some of you may have seen me around already (mainly Kavala).
Because I would very much like to get most out of my Altis Life experience, I decided to formally introduce myself and explain how I approach this game.
In real life I am living in the Netherlands and I enjoy working out and playing guitar.
At the moment I am representing 2 companies, where I'm mainly focusing on the acquisition of entrepreneurs (start-ups) for alternative financing. Next to that I am also leading an international team of 'sales representatives' in Egypt, Ukraine, Spain, Germany, Norway, UK and The Netherlands.
In my daily work I do a lot of cold calling, account management, networking events, giving presentations, motivational conference calls, etc.
These tasks, combined with the intercultural aspect of my work, expose me to a lot of different and unexpected situations. This means that I often have to adapt to these new situations as they are occurring.
Now, you may already guess where I am going: Role-playing. All I basically do in my professional life is role-playing.
As you all know by now, the most random situations and conversations arise on Altis Life as well. Because you are expected to role-play in any given situation, this means you need to quickly adapt to all these crazy situations.
This is why I am currently seeing Altis Life, apart from it being a fun game, as a way of further personally developing myself.
I do not see myself as a hardcore role-player, but I do try to 'save' myself from any given situation using words. When you're in sales (or pretty much any other position) this is definitely a skill you can benefit from.
To further increase the number of role-playing encounters I am now a Bounty Hunter. I know Bounty Hunters generally have a pretty bad reputation, but I will do my best to use this position to make everyone's experience a better one.
I look forward to experiencing more of the many crazy, random and unique people and situations that this server has to offer
Thanks a lot and I hope to meet you soon.
Kind regards,
Sonny Berg
