ALL Police Members Needing to Respond to Bank Op

This is not really a complaint, more of my opinion that I want to express :)

I was in an RP scenario with a cop and basically the cop rushed the roleplay and just went off. No names needed to be said here, I later found out that it was not their fault. This was because they explained to me on TS that they HAD to respond to a bank op. I said do you all really need to respond as soon as possible? To which the answer was yes.

If the rule is that every officer needs to respond ASAP, then I must bring up a counter argument. If there are more than enough officers online and they are currently in roleplay, they should not be forced by any rule to respond to a bank op. It ruins RP that they are currently in. They can just say, 'Need to respond to an urgent call' but why they have to stop RP they are currently in, it felt like I was experiencing bad RP until I found out the reason for it.

It's the hm gold treasury. Officers tend to get there ASAP as a lot of the time rebels shoot, meaning we need all the force we can get.

No harm in finishing the small bit of rp or something, but we have priorities. It's not ruling or anything but it is whay cops tend to do

Yes, it ruins RP. However, most of the times police are facing against 8-10 heavily equipped rebels that are always already on sight laying down on a hill... Try to beat them with only 9-10 cops... Not gonna happen... That's why most of the time all police has to respond, due to their low numbers.

Bring as many as you want ;) - Also regarding the topic it can be very frustrating mid rp and they just bail to respond to the HM but you have to consider the HM is where all of the gold which is the source to all the money on Altis (not illegal obviously) and if people break in with the sole intention to steal it all im pretty sure you would react in the same way!

Never did i rush from a good RP session for the HM, in my books RP was always more important then the gunfight with no rp at the HM.

However, the police do have that "rule" but an officer is always allowed to finish what he is doing.

Sadly mate most bank ops we have to respond to lead into a gun fight with multiple officers dying. So most of the time we do have to leave a RP scenario due to the fact we need to get there to scout the hills and ensure that we can get the advantage over the bank, if there are any rebels. This is why we normally try to get there as soon as possible.

I see where your coming from, and usually they will only leave their current situation if they deem it essential. For example, if you have just killed two cops in front of them they will continue on with that situation and respond as you have committed serious crimes. However if you were just enquiring on how to get somewhere or have committed a small crime such as a traffic offence the officers may need to get to the bank ASAP as there is over £20,000,000 sometimes upwards to £50,000,000 at risk there which could damage the economy and there is usually 5+ heavily armed guys there who will also need to be dealt with. I agree it's not great on the receiving end but it's very realistic to respond to the Treasury in this manner.

It is sad that it happens but it does. As stated above it is NOT a rule and nor is it forced upon officers to leave mid session. The officers would/should say 'sorry there's and urgent call, someone needs backup' of which means they are responding to their colleagues taking fire/under threat/hostage/HM. These are all priority over minor criminal charges such as speeding. The officer should wrap the situation up quickly if possible and if he/she seems it essential that they have to leave. Not all officers will respond to these calls because they know they're too far away/ it's too late/ there enough people responding anyway.

They shouldn't leave anyone restrained/ leave without stating how you should go about your bounty etc. If you are under arrest they will try and rush the procedure regarding your arrest whether or not it be a ticket or a sentence. We are a police force and we need to roleplay our priorities to show we are efficient.

when ever a bank op came up and i was in the middle of RP i'd always finish the RP before i went to the bank

some police do some police don't suppose its hit or miss on who you get

I always try to hurry the scenario up but I try not to leave the RP scenario where possible. Let's just have a think here though (I don't want to stick up for poor RP), If you are within 2 minutes of being able to stop people potentially taking money from the HM it's going to be far more efficient for the police officer to respond to that as 9/10 times there will be 5+ armed guys there which have most likely become far more dangerous than the person the officer is currently dealing with. So basically I usually decide on how to respond by comparing the 5+ armed guys at the HM to the person that I'm RP'ing with...

For me personally, I will NEVER rush or even drop any role play im in (provided its good :) ) to respond to a HM Treasury. Its the same with pretty much any scenario. Its more amusing for me to be roleplaying with someone than to rush of to a firefight.

That's what I would do. I hate the idea that your FORCED to drop the RP..

Why there is bank and opportunity to rob it if its not rp? Robbing bank, shooting and killing it is rp as well .
