Hello,
I would like to suggest that an aircraft repair function/facility is implemented in the LS Airport Hanger, or even specialist Aircraft Repair Kits. Alternatively, vehicle health is reviewed for Aircraft.
I am suggesting this after experiencing some engine trouble while recently flying my Microlight, which resulted in an emergency landing in the city and the Aircraft left stranded as no mechanics capable of 100% repair were on duty. This meant that the abandoned Aircraft caused obstruction and then was destroyed due to traffic crashing into it and was later impounded by the police. On an aside, and before this, numerous repairs where carried out, by myself using standard shop-bought repair kits which lasted approx 1 minute of flight time before failing again. I gather the Aircraft doesn't cope well with drastically reduced engine health.
Once released from the impound the Aircraft still required a full Mechanical and Bodywork repair from an AE call out to the Hangar. This is not ideal as I was unable to repair my Aircraft and carry on flying and also meant I was without it till the next storm.
I am aware that such repair function is possible in the Police and NHS Garages so maybe something similar could be implemented in the Hangar. Granted the aircraft would need to have made it back to the Hangar or at least be back in the Hangar after an impound release.
I feel a specialised Aircraft repair Kit (purchasable by Pilot's) would be a good option as this would be able to be used away from the Hangar, for instance, as in my case when I first landed on the Beach at Paleto.
Pros:
Repair function for Aircraft as none currently exists.
Continuation of anyone's flight due engine failure.
Not resulting in a 'total loss' should an emergency landing happen.
Cons:
Dev time associated with such.
Possible argument against offloading tasks for player ran Garages, however the amount of Aircraft in the City is minimal and also said Garage's aren't always open and these are predominately Car focused and from a roleplay sense would not cover Aircraft repairs.
