Advise on CS:GO

Hi.

I am a silver elite on CS:GO I have around 49 games won. I went from a silver one so not all games have been as silver elite. I need advise on ranking up/improving.

Help me.

 
Without seeing you play I can't say exactly what you specifically need to improve on, so I'll say what I've noticed with a lot of silvers.

- Crosshair placement (Always line up for headshots)

- Spray control (Learn spray patterns of M4 and AK mainly)

- Movement (Make sure to stop moving before you shoot, learn to strafe shoot properly)

There is alot more to work on, but there's a few things for now.

I'm fine with all of that. I think it's my mouse sensitivity.

Here's some facts

You are good with the AWP or not. As you approach the Gold Nova ranks if the AWP does not work out always go for the alternative.

If you are being battered in a match, don't loose confidence. Even if it is 15 - 1 keep that confidence and you might just make it.

Gold Novas are good. You may find yourself in matches with Master Gaurdians at some point. But as I said keep your cool and remember, you CAN do it. I have saw many a people just loose it and call hacks.

Always remember this - Grenades are your friends. A good standered buy is

x2 Flashbangs

x1 Smoke

And/or a HE Grenade

Play with friends - untill you get into Gold Nova 1 or 2 play with mates, Experienced mates NOT smurfs can really help. However you need to be individually playing a part with your mates.

When aiming with AK and M4A4/A1S always aim head night.

Download aim_train_v2 and test reactions. Reactions against Gold Novas can be crucial parts in a clutch and a rush.

I could blab on for days giving advice. But as Dylan's said lets see you in action eh, :)

Myself im EX Master Gaurdian. I have played with Master Gaurdains since early silver ranks. But I dropped to Gold Nova after playing with a few people *COUGH* @Ciaran

In regards to the AWP please don't be one of these guys that just buys the AWP all the time. PLEASE use an AK or an M4 or something else that can be useful. The amount of times i've watched my firiends play and when they've had a team full of AWPs at lower level is painful.

 
Managed to watch that demo you sent me. Watched a bit of the first half and a bit of the second half. Overall for your rank you're not that bad. Some things you need to work on though.

Firstly, Crosshair placement. Quite a few times you've ran places not having your crosshair placed correctly. For example, you knew a guy was top mid yet your crosshair is facing his feet almost.

Your overall aim needs improving. There is really nothing that you can do to have an immediate effect on this, it comes with practice. Use the maps linked above to help with your muscle memory and your aim. Practice makes perfect so go onto DM and unbind crouch. Try and kill as many people as you can without spraying.

Edit 1 : Also, this guy made this routine. I don't personally do it but I do something like this once or so a week.

Your gamesense. Quite a few times in the demo you did stupid stuff. You were at double doors on CT side and the bomb was down, yet you decided to go for a kill at top mid with a P90. You pushed through double doors and died. You should have gone straight for the bomb and camped it. 

Talking about gamesense, remember as a CT you can CAMP!. If you just play objectively and hold the site you are less likely to die ridiculously, such as pushing short (lol'd when you did that) at the start of round to get rekt by an awper.

Money! Learn the economics of CSGO. First round you had $600 left - this shouldn't happen. Either buy armor and a nade or buy nades. You can even buy a pistol (Not worth it IMO)

The second round you then bought an M4. DO NOT DO THIS! Unless your playing with premade and they can 100% guarantee you will win the round and won't lose anything, don't buy a primary weapon like the M4. Famas is good, PP BIzon is good if you win first round, even p90, but please don't buy AK/M4 secon round. One of the main reasons being if you die you lose out on money and the second reason being if you do lose, you have to ECO. THey then can easily own you with a primary they didnt even buy.

On the plus side, sometimes your aim is really good, some nice frags onto sites. Your also decent at picking when to rotate. 

You need to ECO more or ask for drops. You had 2.6k and bought a P90 while your teammate had full buy and still had 3.5 k left, ask for a DROP!

Use your communications, and like summers said, get a premade!

( I doubt you'll need it as you're playing here so you should easily beable to find people to play with, but)

Yes @. But bear in mind at ALL Levels of the game communication is very important, so language barriers are a pain the ass.

I'm a DMG/ Leg eagle on cs, from my over 900+ hours over 3 accounts i can say that the main thing to work on and how i started gaining ranks quickly is always keeping your cross hair head height. from watching my silver friends play they always aim at the floor, work on this and always keep the cross hair up, id recommend not even learning spray patterns until you are around mg1 and try and always tap or burst fire always. If you havent already make your own custom cross hair on http://tools.dathost.net/and personalize it so you will play your best. If you have some spare time go into a private match and practice ALOT of smokes and flashes, this will aid you in game so much as you can smoke off the main choke points. When shooting never move and try to make it so when you see a player your instant reaction is to stop moving and crouch, this will make you much more accurate. To do this play as much death match as possible, this sounds boring but trust me it works.

I disagree.

Learn the spray patterns for AK and M4 as soon as possible, atleast be able to accurately control the first 8-10 shots. Will make a world of difference.

No, at a low rank you dont want to be spraying, you will be inaccurate almost all the time anyway, no point trying to be accurate while spraying at the same time you are trying to be accurate altogether, go step by step.

The point is to LEARN and practice the spray pattern so you are accurate with it. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with spraying if its controlled and hitting the target.

Weapon control is a huge part that differs CSGO from the run and gun noobfests of CoD and other games like Battlefield. The sooner you learn to control you shots and place them accurately the better.

 
On a plus note a cheater got VAC banned in a match last night, we game back and won every round to win the match. Were down something like 2-13 Lol.
